U13/U15 Indoor Championships

Kelvin Hall 16 & 17th January 2010

Only 7 Vic's attended this event but returned with an impressive 6 Medals between them. With the jumps section doing particularly well.

Douglas Paul U17 got the weekend off to a great start with gold in the Triple Jump (13.00m). He followed that up with a silver in the High Jump (1.73m).

Ella Gibbons U17 claimed silvers in the HJ (1.55m) and the LJ (5.41m). A great performance considering both these events were at the same time. Louise Calder U17 also cleared 1.55m in the HJ but finished 5th on count back. Louise went on to finish 2nd in the Shot Putt (7.71m).

Charlotte Lillington U15 won Bronze in the HJ with a jump of 1.50m, all medals were decided on count back, in another very close competition.

Taylor Nimmo U15 qualified for both the 60m and 200m sprint finals, finishing 5th in the 60 m 7.89s and 4th in the 200m 26.40s.

Amy Manson U17 won her heat of the 300m to qualify for the final and finished 4th in the final 44.33s.

Fraser Baird U15 finished 5th in the HJ with a PB equaling 1.40m. This was a very high standard of competition with the first two medalists producing a great contest. Either would have won the U17 contest.
