Great Scottish Run (Half Marathon and 10K)

Glasgow

Sunday 4th September, 2011

Seven Harriers took part in the annual Great Scottish Run Half-Marathon, which started from the centre of Glasgow, finishing at Glasgow Green.
On a warm day, the undulating course and negotiating a path through the huge crowd of runners  meant that PB’s were not a possibility, but most were satisfied with their times
Pride of place on the day was the performance of Fiona Matheson, who was the first Female Scot home in setting a new O/50 Masters Half Marathon record, taking over 1 minute off the current record.
In the 10K which took place earlier Caroline Lawless continued her progress from a lengthy lay–off from competition to register a very creditable time of 46.28min.

Some photographs of Fiona with her winning trophy are presented here.
