Scottish Combined Events Indoor Championships

Ken Moncrieff (M50) was victorious in the Veteran men's combined event. He claimed first place despite not scoring in the Pole Vault.

Neil Kilgour (M40) performed well to finish 5th.

Bryan Roy reports on Douglas Paul & Louise Calder:

Douglas Paul came 3rd in U17 with a total of 2637.
 
He started with High Jump which he won with 1:77m then ran 10.14 in 60m Hurdles.
This race was marred by officials forgeting to move the last set of hurdles after the U15 race.
Douglas had to get his right foot strapped up after hurting his ankle jumping over the last hurdle in the first race.

The Shot Putt was next and Douglas threw 8:08m.
 
With his foot still hurting Douglas jumped a PB of 5:74m to win the Long Jump.
His second jump although a foul (Just) when asked was measured at over 6:10.
At the end of a long day he ran a 1000m coming in second at 3:04:80 and securing 3rd place.

Louise Calder came 2nd in the U17 Women , with a total of 2,583 points.
 
Louise had a Personal Best in the Shot Putt of 8:24 and a Seasons Best in the High Jump with 1:61.
