Scottish Age Group Indoor Championships

Falkirk Vic's returned with three silver medals from the Scottish Age Group Championships, held on Sunday 15th February at the Kelvin Hall.

Amy Grant: U20 Pole Vault, Greg Boyd: U20 High Jump and Fraser Weir: U17 Triple Jump were the successful medalists.

Several others made their finals but narrowly missed out on medals.

Scottish National Cross Country Championships

Jade Nimmo in Celtic Indoor International Scottish Team

Jade Nimmo, has been selected for the Scottish Team named today, to compete in the Celtic Indoor International to be held at the National Indoor Arena in Cardiff on Sunday 22nd February.

Jade will compete in the 60 metre sprint following her impressive winning performances in both the East of Scotland and Scottish National Indoor Championships recently.

This caps a successful return to competition for Jade whose main event is the Long Jump.

Scottish National Masters CC Championship

A male Harrier’s team comprising Andy Ronald, Mike McQuaid, John Martin and David Bunyan competed at the Scottish National Masters CC Championship at Irvine, 7th February earning 12th place.

On a sunny but cold day Andy produced a typically committed run to finish 25th overall in a time of 35:00mins, Mike finished just a few strides behind in 27th place in a time of 35:01mins, achieving 5th place in his age group.

John maintained his current good form by clocking a time of 39:07mins in gaining 86th place to better his previous years time, with David completing the team with a time of 46:27mins in being placed 155th and taking almost a minute of his previous years performance.

Senior Indoor Championships

Congratulations to Jade Nimmo who took gold in the Women's 60m at the Indoor Scottish Senior Championships, which were held at the Kelvin Hall on Sunday 1st February.

There were also bronze medals for Alec Bryce in the 1500m, Gary Smith: 800m, Greg Boyd: High Jump and Richard Hurren: Pole Vault.
