Young Harriers Claim District Title

A quartet of young Falkirk Victoria Harriers claimed the U11 Girls East District Cross Country League Title last weekend (Sunday 18th January).

The league consisting of three races over the winter season, counts the top trio from each club for the score.

The winning Harriers team of Alana Boggan, Kelly Bissett, Abigail Black and Kirsten McIntee dominated from the first race. The girls winning score was an incredible 66 points, with 2nd placed Central AC on 203 points and 3rd placed Dundee Hawkhill Harriers on 221 points.

In the first race at Livingstone in October all three ‘counters’ made the top ten with Alana 1st, Kelly 5th and Abigail 9th.

The second race in November at Broxburn saw Alana 1st again, with Kelly 4th and on this occasion Kirsten made up the scoring trio in 15th position.

The last race at Dunfermline, was on the hardest course any of these young ladies had ever encountered. Alana claimed a brave 2nd, with Kelly in 7th and Abigail in 21st place.
