The fixtures and arrangements for the Indoor league and Championship fixtures have now been posted.

All the dates are for the Kelvin Hall and the league matches are in the afternoon.

Myra Perkins - Bank of Scotland Under-17 Athlete of the Year

Myra Perkins was awarded the title of Bank of Scotland Under-17 Athlete of the Year at the Scottish Athletics Awards dinner held on Saturday 22nd November at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.

Hosted by Bryan Burnett, in which Paula Radcliffe was guest of honour,the award is recognition of her record-breaking acheivements throughout the year.

These included not only finishing as both Scottish and UK champion in her U17 age group, but also U20 Scottish champion and silver medallist in the U20 UK Championships.

Myra set a new Scottish U17 record taking her to second on the all-time UK U17 list with a best performance of the year in the 4kg hammer of 52.02m.

Winter Time Trials - Callendar Park

Endurance Initiative - Driving Performance Up

A series of Cross country time trials will be held monthly on Saturday throughout the winter in Callendar Park over distances of 2 and 3 miles culminating in a 1 mile course at the start of the summer 2009 season.

These trials will be organised by David Murray and Gordon Mitchell and are open to all ages and abilities.

The initial timetable is listed here:

The trials will start at 9:30 am in front of Callendar House. If you have any further questions see David or Gordon who are at the clubhouse on Tuesdays and Grangemouth Stadium on Thursdays.

Myra Perkins competes in Commonwealth Youth Games

Myra Perkins has today, Wednesday 15th October, competed for Scotland in the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games held in Pune, India.
Myra, who moved to second on the UK Under 17 All Time ranking list in August, when setting the Scottish Record at Grangemouth, finished an excellent 4th place in Pune with a third round effort of 50 metres and 80cm - agonisingly 7cm short of bronze and 12 cm short of the silver medal in a very tight competition.

Ben Stevenson runs for Scotland

On Sunday 12th October, having competed for the club in the East District Cross Country Relays the previous day, Ben Stevenson was on International duty in the British and Irish Junior Hill Running Championships and Home Internationals held at Bonaly, Edinburgh. An excellent run saw Ben finish fourth in the Under 14 Boys race.
